FROM GROWING UP WATCHING JULIA CHILD TO BECOMING A CHEF
In 2014, I left the corporate world behind in hopes of perusing my childhood dream of becoming a chef. I enrolled in culinary school and would eventually graduate with an abundance of newfound knowledge. But what next? After graduating, I found myself working a small stint in catering, as a prep cook, heck — I even did meal preps!
My journey eventually inspired me to create Salt and Leisure. Where I create and share recipes that I’ve learned as a child growing up in a Mexican household, to recipes that I was taught in culinary school. Here is where you can find recipes, “how-to’s” and ideas for making your time in the kitchen easy, fun, and delicious.
