Classic Banana Bread
- 1 1/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 3 Large Very Ripe Bananas
- 2 Eggs room temperature
- 1/2 Cup Canola Oil
- 1/4 Cup Buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
Preheat oven to 300 degrees, and grease a 9-inch loaf pan.
Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. I use a whisk to break down any lumps.
In a separate bowl, mash the bananas and add the eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and combine.
Gently add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and combine. Pour into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the banana bread comes out clean. Let it cool completely before slicing.
Using ripe bananas is very important to making this the best banana bread ever.
Make sure you don't peak the first 40 minutes of the bread being in the oven. It can really affect the height of the finished product.
